Welcome Titan aka Tiny: A Tiny Pony with a Big Presence

In May 2026, we were delighted to welcome Mardlebrook Titan, a charming Miniature Shetland Pony, to the Centaur Equine Massage Training herd.

Although he may be one of the smallest members of our equine family, Titan has already proven that size has very little to do with personality. With his inquisitive nature, confident attitude, and unmistakable Shetland charm, he quickly settled into life at Centaur and won the hearts of everyone he met.

At Centaur Equine Massage Training, we believe that working with a variety of equine types is an important part of developing well-rounded practitioners. While much of equine massage education naturally focuses on larger horses, miniature ponies like Titan provide a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, handling, and the subtle skills required to adapt massage techniques across different body types.

Despite his compact stature, Titan possesses the same complex muscular system and movement patterns as his larger equine counterparts. His inclusion in the training herd helps demonstrate that every equine, regardless of size, can benefit from thoughtful, knowledgeable bodywork tailored to their individual needs.

Titan has now had time to settle in and find his feet a little so is beginning to take part in our training days. Students often find that working with a miniature pony encourages them to refine their observation skills, develop greater precision in their palpation, and become even more mindful of their posture and body mechanics during treatment sessions.

Titan has been a hit with the students from day one and is brilliant at reminding everyone that confidence comes in all sizes, he has become a much-loved member of the Centaur community.

We are thrilled to have Mardlebrook Titan as part of our herd and look forward to the many ways he will continue to support student learning while bringing smiles to all who meet him.

As always, our horses and ponies remain at the heart of everything we do. Their well-being, partnership, and contribution to education help shape the next generation of equine massage practitioners, and Titan is already making his mark in a very special way.

Welcome to the herd, Tiny Titan. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this little pony with such a big personality.
